Dollhouse Dilemma

Okay so as many people or no one knows, the premiere date of Dollhouse (Joss Whedon's new television series) has been pushed back a month from January 9th to February 13th. Many of you may be asking "why should I care about this?" and the answer to that is simple, FOX IS GOING TO MESS IT UP! Fox has a history of canceling really good shows before a full season has finished and it's the public gets punished. You may be familiar with the Firefly fiasco of 2002 when Fox canceled a promising show, that generated so much money in DVD sales that a feature film was made to complete the show. I bring this up because this was Fox messing up Joss Whedon's work and losing out on a lot of money because of it, and now they stand to do the same thing. It is nearly certain that if Dollhouse airs it won't be back for more episodes or that it might not complete the 7 it is scheduled for. However, that's not what i'm really concerned about, right now it is becoming more and more unlikely that Dollhouse will actually premiere, and some of us have been waiting for 4 years to have Joss Whedon come back to television. No matter what project he is working on Joss Whedon brings in money, even with an internet project he has generated a lot of interest and this series has been a long time coming. With Eliza Dushku and Amy Acker working with Whedon again, who they have both done their best acting for, the cast seems solid especially since the addition of Harry Lennix to the cast. Then Tim Minear, Elizabeth Craft, and Sarah Fain all returning to write for the show it is difficult to see where the disconnect is with Fox. Maybe i'm wrong and this show will be horrible and i'll be incredibly disappointed, but that's not really my point. What i'm really trying to say is that it could be great like the 3 other shows Joss Whedon has created, it could be one of those shows that develops a huge following after 4 episode, so give it a chance. Joss Whedon hasn't been wrong yet and from what i've heard so far the main problem is with the character Echo (Eliza Dushku) and that people might have a difficult time relating to her, but that should stop being an issue since Joss Whedon is the best writer currently working in television when it comes to characters (say anything you want about anything else, but no one is better at making characters than Joss Whedon, that's why his shows have been so successful). Don't just take my word for it, check out the trailer and the premiere February 13th on FOX. K thanks.
